Presentation to Mr. Kay By His Employer and Fellow Workmen

A pleasant event took place at Creelman Bros' Knitting Machine works on Saturday when Mr. Adam Kay Sr., who has been a faithful and trusted employee of the firm for the past twenty-five years, was presented by his employer and fellow workmen with a handsome easy chair and the following address.
Mr. Adam Kay Sr.

Dear Sir and Associate: We, your fellow-workmen, having become aware of the fact that you had decided to sever your connection as employee of Messrs. Creelman Bros. with whom you have been associated for so many years, desire to show our sympathy and appreciation of your valuable services, both as foreman and associate workman. We, therefore, would ask you to accept this easy chair as a slight token of our combined esteem and interest in your welfare. We would also ask you to reserve a warm spot in your heart for the boys with whom you have been working so long. Wishing you every success in your new venture, and hoping you may be spared many years to enjoy prosperity, good health and happiness.

The address was read by M. Merryday and the presentation made by Mr. E. Benham.

Mr. Kay made a suitable reply, thanking all concerned for their gift and kind words.

Mr. Creelman also spoke a few words, and while he felt sorry to lose the services of so old and trusted an employee, he wished Mr. Kay long life and happiness and every success in his new venture.
