Signing for freedom
Jeff Wilkinson joined local members of Amnesty International at their Write for Rights event recently at the Shepherd's Crook. The group sent 70 cards, handmade by school children, to Cuban prisoners accused of speaking against their government, and collected 176 signatures on letters to government officials in Cuba, China, Myanmar, and Singapore. Amnesty groups around the world hosted similar writeathons to mark International Human Rights Day.
