Young's Pharmacy and Homecare, on Main St. in Georgetown will be holding a free health check day on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Clients will be able to have their cholesterol, blood pressure, blood glucose, and bone density checked right in the pharmacy by trained healthcare staff. Results will be available immediately and Young's nurse and pharmacists will be available to help interpret your results and advise on follow-up. Other areas of the pharmacy are also having health-related special events. According to owner Neil Young, "This is a great opportunity to discuss any health concerns with a pharmacist, a registered nurse, and our other healthcare staff. We are a pharmacy first, and it is our customer's health concerns that are our priority!" Although there are usually charges for these services, Young's has arranged for the Thursday, February 23rd clinic to be free. Appointments will not be needed for the Health Check Day so you can drop in at your convenience.
