Acton High School Athletes of the Week are Mike Bentley and Sarah Tosh. Bentley, a member of the Bearcats wrestling team was chosen for winning his weight class (unlimited) at GHAC. Tosh, a setter on the Bearcats junior volleyball team was honoured for being named MVP at the Mentor College tournament, where Acton finished second. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are Chelsea Jensen and Corey Carlton. Jensen, a middle hitter on the Halton-champion junior Rebels' volleyball team, is a graduate of the Stewarttown athlete factory. The lone senior starter on Georgetown District's basketball squad, Carlton led his team to the Halton final against Burlington's Notre Dame. Christ the King High School Athletes of the Week are curling team skips Graeme Owens and Bethany Pender. Owens and his Jaguar teammates Vince Schaljo, Brett Piva, Joel Camirand and Simon Sharples made it to the Halton playdowns in Oakville before bowing out. Pender's girls' rink just missed out on qualifying for the Regionals but enjoyed their season nonetheless.
