The North Halton midget B Twisters captured their third tournament championship banner of the 2005-06 season recently in Stoney Creek, defeating Wheatfield, N.Y. 5-0 in the final. On a 15-game unbeaten streak, the second-place Twisters are preparing for league playoffs and hope to qualify for the provincials in April. Preliminary round-- North Halton 3, St. Catharines 0: Jess Walkey, Jennifer Essiembre, Karlie Scheifele (G); Amy Delafranier (SO); Lana Munn, Kirstie Cunningham, Katie Morrow (A). North Halton 1, Mississauga 1: Siera Pellizzari (G); Lauren McCracken, Jess Walkey (A). North Halton 2, Norfolk 1: Morrow (2G); McCracken, Brooke Hartwick, Munn, Niki Somerville (A). Championship-- North Halton 5, Wheatfield, N.Y. 0: Walkey (3G); Pellizzari, Hartwick (G); McCracken, Heather Sullivan, Jessica Wilton, Essiembre, Robyn McColl, Munn, Kirstie Cunningham (A); Delafranier (SO).
