Christ the King High School Athletes of the Week are Julie Silas and Rory Cadwallader. Both are on the Jaguars swim team and were cited for their accomplishments at GHAC. Silas won gold, breaking the GHAC record with her 100 freestyle, and received gold in the freestyle relay medley as well as bronze in the 50 fly. Cadwallader won gold in the 50 free (another GHAC record) and gold in the 100 IM as well. Acton High School Athletes of the Week are Amanda Schroeder and Melissa Bigg. Schroeder, cocaptain of the Bearcats girls hockey team was selected for her goal and assist in the Halton semi-finals against L.B. Pearson High School. Bigg, captain of the Bearcats girls volleyball team was chosen for her leadership during the teams GHAC finals. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are Mark Gorski and Rebekka Bond. Gorski, a member of the Rebels swim team was chosen for his gold in the 200 free, silver in the 4X100 freestyle medley and bronze in the 100 free at GHAC recently. Bond, also of the Rebels swim team, was selected for her gold in the 100 IM, 50 backstroke and the medley relay.
