D & D Asian Restaurant (formerly The Royal Cafe) at 10 Mill Street East held its grand opening recently. Cutting the ribbon were from left, Mayor Rick Bonnette, owner Don Chen, Jong Wong who was the owner of the Royal Cafe for the past 50 years, Eva Cooper of Acton, owner Steven Chen, and Paul Neilson. In back, from left, Acton Councillors Mike O'Leary and Jon Hurst and Acton BIA manager Josey Bonnette.The Chens served some of their specialty Chinese and Thai dishes at a reception held afterward.
