Georgetown Legion Branch 120 members (from left) vice-president Tom Gregory, president Wade Bond, Doug Weir, Bennett Centre administrator Walter Sguazzin and Bill Shields joined with Bennett Centre resident Chuck Roe, for the recent presentation of a $7,200 cheque. The funds, donated on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Provincial Command Branches and Ladies' Auxiliaries Charitable Foundation, will be used at the Bennett Centre to purchase new electric hospital beds, replacing manual ones. The beds cost $1,849 each and 28 have been purchased through donations to date. The Bennett Centre requires 33 more beds to benefit all residents.
