Hosted by Georgetown Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 120)

10 am: Approx. 1100 school children will gather at Georgetown Fairgrounds with lit candles then proceed to Charles and James Streets before entering Remembrance Park. At the park they will meet with veterans, thank them, then place the candles that will burn throughout the night, around the cenotaph.

7:00 pm: Silent Walk- Everyone Welcome. Begins at Royal Canadian Legion (Downtown) Branch 120 & proceeds along Main St. to James St. to the Cenotaph (Remembrance Park). Reception to follow at Branch 120. *Members of the public may join the procession at any point.

On this day, the residents of Halton Hills along with 1300 area school children will gather in order to pay tribute to your sacrifices & achievements.

Please be with us as we pass the symbolic torch of remembrance.

May 4th, 2006 VE Day

All Veterans Are Invited.

At the cenotaph the walkers will place their lighted candles on the base of the cenotaph and bow their heads in tribute to our Canadian Veterans. Having placed the candles the participants will show their gratitude by shaking hands with all the Veterans in attendance.

7:00 pm: Silent Walk- Everyone welcome. Members of the public along with 200 school children will gather at both the Olde Hide House and St. Alban's Church. Reception to follow at Branch 197. OLDE HIDE HOUSE ROUTE Church St. to Elgin St. to Mill St. to the Cenotaph. ST. ALBAN'S CHURCH ROUTE River St. to Bower Ave., to Frederick St. to Mill St. to the Cenotaph.
