Habitat for Humanity Halton (HfH Halton) will be hosting an information session tomorrow (Thursday) at 7 p.m. for interested individuals to learn more about Habitat for Humanity Halton's upcoming 2007 Georgetown builds. Learn more about getting involved as a sponsor, donor or volunteer. The session will be held at The Real Canadian Superstore, 171 Guelph St., Georgetown, (upstairs in the cooking school area). Habitat for Humanity Halton is a community-based, non-profit, faith-based organization whose mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty. The organization was founded in 1999, is a member of Habitat for Humanity Canada, and part of a worldwide network that spans 100 countries, has built over 200,000 homes, and is now building a new home every 24 minutes. Habitat builds, renovates and sells houses to low-income families on a no-profit, nointerest basis and provides an interest-free mortgage to families who would otherwise not be able to purchase their own home.
