Acton High School Technological Design teacher Norbert Axtmann recently received a cheque for $320 from Chris Burt, Divisional Sales manager of Staples Business Depot in Milton. Under Axtmann's initiative, the school participated in the Recycle for Education program that is designed to educate adults and kids on the benefits and importance of recycling ink and toner cartridges. The school has been involved in the program for the past year and the program is expected to raise $225,000 in total for participating schools. Halton Hills residents can help raise funds for local schools by simply dropping off your empty ink and toner cartridges at any Staples Business Depot or at the high school. Every eligible ink and toner cartridge donated will return one dollar to local schools registered in the program.
