Matt George led the attack with 22 points for Christ the King in their 64-46 trouncing of Burlington Central on Friday as the 9-0 junior Jags hosted their first-ever playoff game.
CtK's juniors took on 8-2 Assumption yesterday (Tuesday) in the quarter-finals and could host a Halton final-four contest today if victorious. The Halton championships will take place Thursday at Sheridan College in Oakville. Acton's seniors are also hopeful of booking a spot in Thursday's AA boys' final at Sheridan. The Bearcats bounced Aldershot 61-35 in Friday's opening-round game, with T.J. Fry scoring 17 points to get Acton into Tuesday's semi-final at St. Thomas Aquinas. Georgetown's senior boys downed Christ the King 54-37, holding off a late Jaguar charge to prevail in the opening round of Halton AAAA playoffs. The second-seeded Rebels, undefeated during the regular season, hosted a tough semi-final game Tuesday night against Burlington's Assumption.
