Bowlers off to provincials

The Bantam girls' Youth Bowling Council team from Georgetown Bowl has made it to the third stage of the 4 Steps To Stardom and will take on the best in the province this weekend in Rexdale. These bowlers have qualified from their house league and then from the Zone F region. Members of the team (front, from left) are: Mary-Lynne Peel, Eliza Lanneval, Halie Wilson, Michelle Borgal, Katherine Peel and coach Dee Ridley.
Georgetown Bowl will be well represented at this Sunday's Youth Bowling Council provincial championships with qualifiers in both individual and team categories. Nicholas Ridley (third from right) posted scores at the Zone F tournament last month that sent him on to this weekend's Bantam singles competition in Willowdale. Georgetown's Bantam boys are set to roll in the team event in North York with the goal of making the national YBC championships, also known as the 4 Steps To Stardom.
