Loblaw Companies Limited has announced it will hold a Real Canadian Anthem Search, offering young Canadians a chance to sing the national anthem at Air Canada Centre. The winning soloist will sing the anthem at the Leafs game on April 3 and will receive $1,000 in prizes and $2,000 to be donated to their charity of choice. Soloists, age 13-19, can enter by uploading their video at www.superstore.ca. by midnight March 18. Eight soloists will be selected to advance to the finals via an online portal and take part in the final competition on March 26 at Air Canada Centre. Choir group and soloist videos will be posted on www.superstore.ca prior to the competition so consumers can vote for their favourites and be involved in the judging process.
