Everyone is invited to come out and watch Halton Police and the students at Acton High School play in their third annual hockey challenge Thursday (March 29) at Acton Arena. After two close matches in previous years the challenge is now tied at one game each. The puck will be dropped at 2:15 p.m. sharp by former NHL chief referee and now Halton Hills councillor Bryan Lewis. Everyone is welcome to attend. Admission is free, but the teams are accepting donations for charitable groups and ask those would like to bring along, a non-perishable food donation for the Acton Food Bank, a monetary donation for the Salvation Army and/or previously owned hockey equipment for local youth programs.
