Starting the playoffs as the sixth seed in the South Central Triple-A loop, the Halton Novice AAA Hurricanes swept Niagara Falls and then prevailed in six games over first-place Brampton to represent the SCTA at the five-team OMHA championship tournament in Markham, where they finished fourth, dropping a 5-3 decision to Welland in the bronze medal game. Playoff scoring: Sam Gates (4G, 6A); Daniel Hardie (6G, 2A); Bret McInall, Nicholas Stuckless (4G, 4A); Cameron Downey (G, 3A); Thomas Garron (G, 2A); Zac McInall, Matthew McDonough (3A); Brendan Smith (2G); Riley Armstrong, Rylee Buckle (G, A); Ricky Bicchierai (2A); Mackenzie Entwistle (A); Cole Hayward (5-1, 2SO); Chris Pelow (2-1, SO).
Several Halton Hills players were important contributors to the Halton Novice AAA Hurricane team that recently won the SCTA title and qualified for the OMHA finals.
