Teens responsible for Sally Ann store break-in

Halton Police have identified three Georgetown male youths responsible for the break and enter and damage done at the Salvation Army Thrift Store overnight March 17/18. Police report two 15 year-olds and a 16-year-old were responsible and the majority of items taken during the incident have been recovered. The youths were not charged, but instead will take part in the Halton Regional Police Diversion program. During the incident condiments had been removed from the fridge and sprayed throughout the store-- on clothing, walls, the ceiling, counter cash register and counterfeit bill detector. The Red Shield box was emptied, and several CDs, videos and a Princess Diana collector plate were taken. ··· Police remind area residents to ensure their doors and windows are locked when they go out, or go to bed, after a home on Prince Charles Dr. was entered early Thursday morning while the homeowners slept. Police say the homeowners were awakened by the sound of the door opening. The woman screamed and the suspect fled on foot. Police do not have a description of the suspect.
