Pg. 42 KAWARTHA LAKES-- Police have suspended the search for a 28-year-old Halton Hills woman missing for eight days after the canoe she was in capsized in Pigeon Lake on April 3. The missing woman has been identified by OPP as Angel Villeneuve-Steadman. OPP say three people had set out at approximately 5 p.m. that Sunday to retrieve a pedal boat that had drifted from shore. The canoe flipped and only one of the three-- a 19-year-old man-- made it back to shore. No one was wearing a lifejacket. Police began their search that evening, using the boat launch at Victoria Place as a base. The body of 23-year-old Spencer Dunn of Scarborough was recovered on April 5.
