The video is avail- able to anyone, and the Centre hopes to distribute it to churches and service groups, to encourage more people to come out and be active, as well as enjoying camaraderie at the Seniors Centre. Photo by Ted Brown Promotional videos now availableFor the past year the communities of the Georgetown Christian Reformed Church and St. John's United of Georgetown and Glen Williams have been working on an intergenerational project which included grow- ing a vegetable garden on Earl Burt's farm, with the produce going to the Georgetown Bread Basket food bank and Food for Life. Part of the project involved interaction between youth and seniors in the two congregations, together and separately. The focus was on what volunteering was all about and passing on the legacy of community service to our youth. To celebrate the end of the funding for the video proj- ect, members from both congregations gathered at Georgetown Christian Reformed Church to celebrate the creation of a video, chronicling the two churches' combined efforts. The garden will continue this year. Among those who were featured in the video were (front, from left) Bill and Anne DeKleer, Aaron Zomer and Emily Jenkens. In back, Jade DeKleer and Mad- eline Zomer. Photo by Ted Brown Generations working together
