Congratulations, you guys! Keith tells me that there are only a couple of spots left open to sign up for the Winter Horseshoe Tourna- ment, which this year will be held on Sunday, Febru- ary 4. There will also be a Foodbank Drive, and the horseshoe group is hoping to exceed last year's total of 78 lbs of foodstuff plus $55 in cash. So, hurry in and get your name on the signup sheet. On Saturday, February 10 the Legion will be host- ing the Ladies Appreciation Dinner and Dance in the Main Hall. Following the presentations at approxi- mately 9 p.m., the dance will be open to all members and their spouses. Cathy wants to remind everybody that this year's Family Fun Winter Carni- val will be held on Sunday, February 18. We are switch- ing back to Sunday so as not to clash with Town events being held on the Monday. Make a note of that date. More details to follow. He had the only mooner while playing Bid Euchre last Thursday afternoon. The Funding Committee has received a donation of jewellery just in time for Valentine's Day. It will be on sale on Friday, January 26, February 2 and Febru- ary 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday lunch on Febru- ary 2 will be quiche and salad plus dessert, tea and coffee followed by Bingo at 1:15 p.m. The weekly 50/50 has finally been won. Olive Cree was happy to hear she would receive $572.50.
