On March 13 at the Birthday Tea, we cele- brated members who were born in February, March and April. We had three very special members, Dorothy Rognvaldson, Phyllis Bunn and Thora Jespersen who are in their nineties. Dorothy will be celebrating her 100th birthday in April. The St. Patrick's dinner and dance was enjoyed by everyone who attended. Many people wore green and the "Luck of the Irish" was with Dave Maloney who won $86, his share of the 50/50. The next social dinner will be on Monday, April 16. The Annual General Meeting is on March 27 at 1:30 p.m. It is very important that as many members as possible attend. The Hillsview, Acton board has four positions vacant at the moment. Four people, Bev Jones , Pat Eng- lish, Lynda Fischer and Joyce Farmer have been nominated to fill these positions. If you would like to know a little more about them, their "Bios" are on the information board as you enter the Centre. We have a great t eam on our cur ren t board so please come out and support them. If you are unable to attend that day, proxy votes are available. The A.G.M. will showcase highlights of the past year and give a financial review. Re- freshments will be served following the meeting. On Tuesday, March 27 following breakfast, the men's group will be driv- ing to Limehouse to visit the Canadian Military Museum. Lunch and Learn will be on Tuesday, April 3. On Thursday, March 15 while playing bid euchre, Shirley Hunter and Betty Brewer had one mooner each, and Frances Hogen- birk and Cheryl Savage had two. There was no winner this Friday for the weekly 50/50 draw. Next week it should be around $120. The Centre wil l be closed for the Easter Holidays on Good Fri- day, March 30 and Easter Monday, April 2. I am always envious of people who are able to go back and forth in more than one language. Beginners go from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and Int./Adv. from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. If you are in- terested, sign up and pay at the Office. This is a copy of the body of a letter sent from the ActiVan Transit Co- ordinator: "With the recent announcement of the dis- solution of Tyler Transport and the contracted services in which they provide for the ActiVan program; Town Staff and Tyler Transport Ltd. are actively work- ing together preparing a solution for a seamless transition in operations as to not disrupt service for our ActiVan clients. The plan will be com- municated once approval by Council, currently an- ticipated on March 26th, 2018. Please be assured that we do not anticipate any noticeable changes to the service." The Travel Desk has been able to book only 39 tickets for a Blue Jay's baseball game on Sunday, August 12. They are playing Tampa Bay.
