During the next board meeting the vacant two- year positions of Social Chair and Reception Chair will be filled by two of the following newly elected board members: Pat Eng- lish, Linda Fischer, Joyce Farmer and Bev Jones. C o m p l e t i n g t h e i r terms on the Board are: President, Sylvia Mitch- ell; Past President, Dave Maloney; Secretary, Linda Gordon; Treasurer, Mau- reen Harvey; Funding, Paula Alves; and members at large: Susie Blanchet- Haffey, Dave McLean and Sue Vallance. The ex-officio members are: Coordinator, Wendy Krever; Council Liaison, Jon Hurst. There is still time to get your ticket for the Spring Fashion Show on Tues- day, April 10. Tickets are available at the door and "Show Time" is 1 p.m. The first of our Spring Nights Live Music Ser- ies is on Friday, April 13. The first one features Jake Chisholm. They are being held at the Ballin- afad Community Centre and doors open at 7 p.m. Music starts at 8 p.m. Refreshments will be available. Still thinking Spring, Maureen and I spoke to Andre at Blue Springs and arranged for another fun golf day on Wednes- day, May 30. We have been able to keep the price the same for the past nine years. Please sign up if you are interest- ed. Georgetown member Nellie Bell has agreed once again to look after anyone from Georgetown who wishes to join us. It's always a great day with a lovely lunch. The re were a r ec - ord number of men at the Men's Breakfast on Tuesday, March 27. This month they toured the Canadian Military Mu- seum in Limehouse. The next breakfast will be on Tuesday, April 24. The next Social Din- ner is on Monday, April 16 when we will be cele- brating spring with ribs, roasted potatoes, "fixings" and dessert. We will be entertained by Dr. J. Lunch on Friday, April 13 is soup and sandwiches plus dessert, tea and cof- fee followed by Bingo at 1:15 p.m. The Monthly Birthday Pedicure draw was won by Teresa Downey. The monthly fundraising draw for the shawl, and scent- ed wax warmer was won by Jane McAllister, and the weekly50/50 by Jill Tetrault. She won $50.50. They were all drawn on Thursday, March 29 as the Centre was closed for Good Friday and Easter Monday. There are some wonderful gifts displayed for the penny table draw. Tickets are now available at the reception desk. NICE DAY: The senior Hikers from Acton and Georgetown were hiking the Bruce Trail just off St. Helena Road (off Hwy 25) last week.
