My thanks to all who participated and especial- ly the young people who did the readings. It was so important that we were able perform the ceremony this year as the Committee have decided that this event has run its course, and last Thurs- day was the last time we would organize it. My thanks to all the people who have been involved over the years: Joyce Bu- chanan, who started the Acton Tribute along with the late Rene Watson; Lori Ford, who as been in- volved from day one. Flo Weatherbie, Julie Conroy, and Anne Horne, who all came on board in later years and have been a tre- mendous help. Thank you all for doing a great job. On Monday night, we held our annual elections for the 2018/2019 Board of Executives, follow- ing a great dinner served by the Ladies Auxiliary. Your new Executive is: President, Peggy Gra- ham; Past President, John Wagg; 1st Vice, Dave Maloney; 2nd Vice, Ryan Wagg; 3rd Vice, Pat Gra- ham. Board Members: Billy Mathers, Shirley Baskett, Lynda Fischer, John Knight, and Frank Single. We are still looking for a secretary and would appre- ciate one of our members stepping into this very im- portant position.
