Not only do they facepaint for free at public events such as Canada Day in Glen Williams and the Georgetown Fair, but they also seek to help others within their commu- nity. This past May, their sensational pro- duction of Macbeth at the GLT studio raised suffi cient funds that they were again able to share their wealth with a charity of their choice, the Georgetown Hospital Foundation. Their donation of $400 will be used to enhance the health- care services for their fellow citizens in the Georgetown community. Although these teens are very generous with their hard-earned cash, it is interesting to note that statistically, it is the people who can least afford to give, that actu- ally give the greatest percent of their in- come to support local charities. Georgetown Little Theatre is very proud of their youth company and their magnanimous support for others. Their program runs on Saturdays from Sep- tember to June at the GLT Studio, 33 Stewarttown Rd. They acquire skills not only in theatre, but also in teamwork and good citizenship. Photo submitted GLT Youth Company gives back to the community By ROXANNE THORTON GLT YC The Four Swedes present a tribute to ABBA in a concert in support of Cancer As- sistance Services of Halton Hills (CAShh). The concert will take place on Thursday, Au- gust 8, at the Acton Arena & Community Centre, 415 Queen St. E., Acton. The concert starts at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. This rock musical will take you back to the disco era, when ABBA was one of the best pop bands in history. The Four Swedes, not only look like Anni-Frid, Bjorn, Benny and Ag- netha (ABBA), they also sound like them. Recent- ly returning from a Ma- laysian tour, the group is now performing through- out Canada and the U.S. The Four Swedes per- form 21 of ABBA's hits, with all the costume changes, choreography, live band and a big studio sound. Coker, an already achieved pianist has been accepted at Sheffi eld University in England for her third year of musical studies. Lepard, a portrait artist and Benham, a landscape painter and designer, both wish to further their education in these fi elds.
