Construction crews and arena staff have been hard at work over the summer months to put the �nal touches on the expansion and get the facility in working order for the 2013-2014 season. The ice is in, the seats are in, the dressing rooms are ready and the new lobbies are ready for the community. Mayor Rick Bonnette is delighted, "This is an exciting time for our community. We have needed additional ice pads for years and the response to our fundraising campaign was outstanding. This will be a facility we can all be proud of for years - because we built it together." The Acton Arena twinning is the �nal project of the overall arena expansion initiative for the Town of Halton Hills…and it is well underway. The architectural �rms and construction company were selected last spring. Currently, an environmental impact study is underway, meetings are being held with architects, with the expectation that the design will be in place by February. Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2104, with a completion date of September 2015. These new arena expansions are bringing many bene�ts to the residents of Halton Hills.
