Police say about 1:30 p.m. a man drove his vehicle into the police park- ing area at the police station, got out of the car, and set an axe on his car roof. Two nearby officers approached the man and after a brief interaction, a sergeant used the Taser on the man and officers were able to take him into custody without further incident. The man was transported to hospi- tal and admitted under the provisions of the Mental Health Act. He was sub- sequently re-examined by medical per- sonnel and released back into police custody the next day. He was taken for a bail hearing and remains in custody. Charged with assault police and weapons dangerous is Wieslaw Napi- ontek of Halton Hills.
