The purpose of this study is to develop a consistent cross section for Armstrong Avenue to accommodate site traffic and access requirements, as well as, provide for pedestrian and cycling amenities prior to proceeding with detailed design. The site location is identified below. THE PROCESS This study is being carried out in accordance with the requirements of a Schedule "A+" undertaking, as outlined in the Municipal Engineers Association Mun ic ipa l C lass Env i ronmenta l Assessment document (2000, as amended in 2007). A key component of the study will be consultation with interested stakeholders (public and agency). A Public Information Centre (PIC) will be scheduled during the course of the project and appropriate notice will be given. The purpose of the PIC will be to review the problem statement, the planning alternatives and the results of the respective technical studies being undertaken. COMMENTS INVITED Public input and comments are invited for incorporation into the planning and design of this project. Upon completion of the study, an Environmental Study File will be prepared for public review and comment for a period of 30 days. Subject to comments received and the receipt of necessary approvals, the Town intends to proceed with the detail design and construction of this project.
