In celebration of Georgetown Little Theatre's return to the John Elliott stage, Georgetown Little Theatre (GLT) is honoured to have been granted one of the first amateur production rights to Norm Foster's new play, Skin Flick. Although this play is sexy, witty and extremely hilarious it is also a tender romance, about four very naive people caught "in the headlights" of making what they consider to be a "porn" film. Alex (Paul D'Entremont), a recently fired cameraman, suggests to his best friend Rollie (John Wallace) and to Rollie's wife Daphne (Pamela Keyes) that producing porn films is an ex- tremely lucrative venture. Of course, into their lives walks a young out-of- work actress, Jill (Linda Spence) and a shy bookie named Byron (Joe Ross) and the whole idea begins to take root. But notice, four naive people and five characters named. The leering, sarcastic Alex is meant to represent the darker side of the porn industry. But despite the shock and discomfort of our characters' experiences as they gingerly navigate their way through this virtual minefield, nothing taints their positive views about love, sex and marriage. Loaded with sexual innuen- does that will keep you laughing, this is a delightful comedy you will not want to miss. Directed by Kathryn DeLory and produced by Patricia Ball, Skin Flick will be presented at the John Elliott Theatre, 9 Church St., Georgetown. The show runs November 8, 9, 13, 14, 15 and 16 evenings at 8 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday Nov. 10. Tickets are $24 (adult), $20 (seniors 60+) and students with ID $5. Tickets may be purchased through the JET Box Office 905-877-3700 or online at www.haltonhills/theatre. Further information check the website www.georgetownlittletheatre.ca.
