The show takes place at the John El- liott Theatre, 9 Church St., on November 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30 at 8 p.m., and on November 24 and 30 at 2 p.m. The story takes place in a downtrod- den "middle American" town, a place of boredom, a place where the mayor is try- ing to improve the morality of the town by introducing decency laws, a place where a guitar playing, motorcycle rid- ing 'roustabout' comes in and shakes things up. It is a hilarious and spirited show with several love triangles, great music, and fantastic dancing. Some of Elvis's best music such as Can't Help Falling in Love, Love Me Tender, Heartbreak Hotel, and many others are the basis of the musical score. Georgetown Globe Productions is excited to feature many veterans of the stage, and in this production four cou- ples are involved in the show. Ryan Gauvin (Chad) and Virginia Alves (props) have been together as a couple since high school. Gauvin has been in- volved in musical theatre since he was 10 years old. Alves first got involved in theatre through Gauvin's mother. When Gauvin was in Grease his mother enlisted the help of very creative Alves in the prop department. When asked what they like most about All Shook Up, both say the story is hilarious, the music is fantastic, the rehearsals are full of laughs and the actors have good chemistry working on this show. Rob Woodcock (Jim) and Elizabeth Bell (Sylvia) have been together the lon- gest of the four couples, having met dur- ing Dames at Sea 24 years ago and being married for 17 years. When asked what they like about Globe Productions, Bell said it is the "hometown" feeling and the good people who are like family to her. Woodcock jokingly added, "I have many more wives, everyone telling me what to do." They both love the music, enjoying singing and dancing to the very popular Elvis tunes. Erin Noble (ensemble) and Adam Dol- son (Dean) are the newlyweds, having tied the knot this past July. Dolson really enjoys the Globe family-- he says it is "effortless social life." He has met a lot of really good people from different back- grounds, and both Noble and Dolson find this adds a good balance to their work and social lives. Noble says participation in shows is a stress reliever, and Globe is her surrogate family. They are both "stage addicts." Cheyenne Harvey (Natalie) and Paul Stodolny (Dennis) have been involved in theatre a very long time, both since 1995, and have performed in many Globe pro- ductions. Together they have been in Sound of Music, Man of La Mancha,and Cabaret. Harvey loves the musical ar- rangements in the show and says they are amazingly composed. Stodolny says the script is meant to be ridiculously fun- ny and corny, and the cast is incredible. Though both have been involved in other theatre groups, they consider Globe their home group.
