Loving mother to Terri Amundson (Chris) and Leslie Hill aka Sassy (Alan aka best son-in-law) Nana to Kyla Manton(Kristoffer), Colton Seewald (Amira) Great- Nana to Bryce & Ava. GrandPAWrent to Bentley, Earl Grey, Sophie and Mikah. Baby sister to Elsie Goodrick and late Phyllis Glynn. She touched the lives of everyone she knew with her sunshine smile, we will love and miss her deeply. We will always remember her sense of humor, and her love for life, or when we see her favourite things including the colour TURQUOISE, The Duke, her iPad, Facebook, card games, winning at Euchre, Scrabble "Q", green apples with cheese, black licorice, Wizard Of Oz and Gone With The Wind. As a proud Ukrainian there was never a dull moment with Doreen whether it be cruising around on the scooters with her partner in crime, asking to stop at every garage sale, her many road trips or planning her next trip as she has traveled the world. If desired memorial contributions to The Canadian Cancer Society, Lupus Foundation Of Ontario, or the local Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. A Celebration Of Life will be held at a later time. See you in September 2014. Piebe (Peter) George Vandenberg (Cpl. Rtd) After a brief and courageous battle with cancer, Peter, aged 64, passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on October 24, 2013. Peter is survived and deeply missed by his beloved wife Sharon, and is lovingly and fondly remembered by his siblings Jack (Sherri), Jane (Morley) and Ann, sister-in-law Jo-Ann, daughters Lori and Trynna, step-children Tracie (Allan) and Andrew (Julie), grandchildren Michael, Brienna (Trynna), Caitlin, Hallie (Lori), Taylor (Andrew), nieces and nephews Shannon (Jack), Steven, Craig and Jason (Jane), Hannah, Cassandra, Travis (Ann), Matthew (Jo-Ann), mother-in- law Edith, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, both in Canada and Holland. Predeceased by his mother Johanna, father Teade and father-in-law Andy. Peter enlisted with the R.C.M.P. in December 1969, serving for over 32 years, 26 of those in the Forensic Identification Section. His postings included British Columbia, Alberta , Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories and Manitoba before retiring and moving to George town , On ta r io in 2006 . He was an av id motorcyclist who loved to ride, and enjoyed the back roads, and Belfountain area. As per his wishes, no services will be held. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date. TURNBULL, Dale James Peacefully, on Sunday November 10th, 2013 at the Toronto Western Hospital, after a brave battle with brain cancer, at the age of 60. Dale was the treasured son of Edna and the late James Turnbull. Beautiful and loved brother of Pamela Eyre (the late Bruce) of London, Gloria Riddall of Mississauga, Glenn (Nancy) of Simcoe and Kimberly and a proud uncle and great uncle. Dale has been a familiar smiling face for many years , a t Food Bas ics in Georgetown, happily helping his "customers". He was proud to named Employee of the Year in 2007 by the Hal ton Hi l ls Chamber of Commerce for his outstanding customer service. His love of music was displayed in his young years, jamming with his neighbourhood friends as the "singer" in their basement band. Collecting a magnificent library of hundreds of LP's, everything from Hendrix, Eagles, Beatles, Nazareth and enjoyed many "living room hours" air banding with brother Glenn. Although he had an early childhood brain tumor, nothing held him back. He was an avid accomplished sportsman. He was a golfer, hand glider, downhill and water skier, played tennis and tried his hand at horseback riding. Dale loved to dance and took the floor at many community dances. His love of animals, birds and nature in general was displayed by his many personal photos and his love of the outdoors often took him for long walks to Cedarvale park and just sitting contemplating life, in his backyard. Special thanks to Dr. Gelareh Zadeh and caring staff @ UHN Toronto Western for the wonderful support. Dr. Zadeh told Dale he was a miracle last year and he expressed his appreciation with his usual big smile, which he managed to share with us through his brave struggle. Everyone loved Dale!
