Pastor Sandra & Blair Dalziel 647-786-8594 Child care for infants to 5 years Heavy rains bring warnings from conservation agencies With heavy rains over the past couple of days and more predicted through Friday, both Conservation Halton and Credit Valley Conservation are warning people to stay away from water- courses. With between 30 and 40 mm of rainfall since Monday, levels and fl ows of creeks and rivers in the area are at near bank-full conditions. With up to 50 mm predicted through Friday the water will continue to rise and may spill over the banks causing fl ooding in low-lying areas. The agencies urge all resi- dents and children to stay away from all creeks and rivers, bridg- es, culverts and dams. High, fast fl owing water and slippery con- ditions along stream banks make them extremely dangerous. Par- ents should make sure their chil- dren know to stay away. Town Council awarded a $1.1 million contract for the 2013 Pavement Management Program to Mastercrete Con- struction recently. The Mississauga company was the lowest bidder.
