We also enjoyed a Buffet lunch at the Old Mill. What a great way to spend the afternoon. On Monday, April 8, 15 ladies and one brave man enjoyed a trip to Mary Maxims craft store in Paris. There was lots of room on the bus for all the pink bags which will keep a lot of people very busy over the next few months, then back on the bus for a trip to Millgrove to The Old Dutch Mill for lunch and another chance to browse the beautiful gift ideas and baking. A full bus went to Rama on Wednesday March 27. The 50/50 was won by Shirley Loucks and in the lucky seats were Fran- ces Hogenbirk, Ethel McEachern and Mary Van der Sanden. The next Rama trip is on April 24. Calling all Bridge players, we had fi ve people playing Thursday afternoon. They would really welcome more players. If you volunteered during 2012 you should have picked up your invitation at the desk to the 2012 Volunteer Apprecia- tion Event at the Gellert Centre, George- town on Tuesday, April 23 at 1:30 p.m. There will be light refreshments and en- tertainment. This is one way the Town of Halton Hills expresses its appreciation for all the many hours volunteers contribute over the year. The fundraising committee had their fi rst meeting with the new chair Myra Sartor. We discussed the upcoming Bingo which is on Saturday April 20 at 7 p.m. in the Community Hall and the May 11 Spring Bazaar. The Friday lunch on April 19 will be clam chowder, assorted sandwiches, des- sert, tea and coffee. On Tuesday, April 16, we will be having our Spring social dinner. On the menu are ham, scalloped potatoes, and vegetables followed by cheesecake. Denise Fex will entertain with music from the '60s & '70s. On March 28 Don Anderson won the weekly 50/50. He won $68.
