(across from Dominion Gardens) A pair of hard-fought road wins on the long weekend bumped up the Halton Hills Bulldogs' record to 5-0-0 to start the On- tario Jr. B Lacrosse League's regular season. The 'Dogs made their annual trip east a little later in the schedule than usual and were well prepared for a couple of rough-and- tumble contests. They defeated the Kah- nawake Hunters 12-9 on Saturday evening after Tyler LeBlanc broke up a 9-9 tie in the third period with two quick goals. Connor Brown (3), Adam Charalam- bides (2), Kurtis Oldham, Jake Perehiniak, Seth Laidlaw, Luke Laidlaw and Jayson Crawford also tallied for the visitors. On Sunday afternoon, Halton Hills out- scored the opposition again in the final frame to pull of a 9-7 victory over the Akwesasne Indians near Montreal. Luke Laidlaw (3), Seth Laidlaw (2), Crawford, Charalambides, Brown and LeBlanc rounded out the scoring and netmind- er Gavin Lecky recorded both wins. The Bulldogs played in Newmarket last night (Wednesday) against the 1-4 Saints and host the 2-2 Markham Ironmen Saturday at the Alcott Arena beginning at 7:30 p.m., followed by a trip to Port Credit Sunday to face the 2-4 Mississauga Tomahawks at 2 p.m. Bulldogs extend unbeaten streak with pair of tough weekend victories
