Food, face painting, splash pad, music & prizes !! June is Seniors Month in Canada. Both Halton Hills Seniors Centres will be hold- ing Seniors Month activities during the month. If you check the advertisement in the paper you will fi nd listed days when there are free "Try it" sessions in Acton. Yoga, Nordic Pole walking and a session of travel for seniors at the Acton Public Library, and Vicki from the Acton library will be holding her monthly session: fresh books and coffee at the Acton Seniors Cen- tre. You are always welcome to visit the Acton Centre to see if we offer something you would enjoy. Drop in and pick up the current newsletter which lists the various events, trips, dinners and programs of- fered during the next three months. On June 11 at 1 p.m. we provide the Kleenex while you laugh until you cry while watching the movie Parental Guid- ance. On Thursday, June 13 at 10 a.m. we will be celebrating World Elder Abuse Day with refreshments and information. In the evening help celebrate Seniors Month with dinner Italian style. Lasagna, Caesar salad and garlic bread with Tor- tufo (Italian ice cream) for dessert and a return performance by Laura Pauline Mammone. The Board will be serving and cleaning up following the dinner, giving Real's hard working team a break. The popular Line Dancing will contin- ue at its usual time through the month of June. On the trip to Rama Gwen Ingham won the 50/50 and in the lucky seats were Linda Spitiri, Gwen Pemberton, and Lois Walker, on the next Rama trip (June 26) pickup time is 8:30 a.m. Please note the bus to Grand River racetrack on June 17 will be picking up at 5 p.m. Friday lunch on June 14 will be Shep- pard's pie garden salad and dessert. The very popular Bingo evening will be held again in the community hall on Saturday, June 15 at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Glen Seniors Drop-in Group meets every Wednesday, 12-3 p.m. at St. Alban's Parish Hall, 537 Main St., Glen Williams. Open to all seniors in the Halton Hills area. Come enjoy the fellowship and games.
