Kids, ages 5 to 18, are signing up, excited about performing songs and choreography in a theatre setting. Gone are the days when kids want to stand there, open a concert fold- er and sing. Today's kids want to move, sing great harmonies AND "put on a show". It must be the influence of Glee and the popu- larity of "show" choirs that has caused this phenomenon, but it sure is fun for all concerned. The choir has committed to do full scale Christmas musicals at the JET every year to meet this enthusiastic response to performing. The Directors of Best of Broadway, Dale Wood (music director) and Joanna Fraser (cho- reographer), find that kids are loving rehears- als, where they are singing Joseph, Phan- tom, Les Miz and all their music theatre favourites every Tuesday night. All children, ages 5 to 18, are welcome to join the Children's Chorus ($85 for the Spring ses- sion). Email: lfraser@fraserdi- rect.ca or see www. georgetown- childrenschorus.ca.
