Without my family, friends and clients, I could never have succeeded. My business has grown more than I could have dreamed when 15 years ago at age 26, without fear, I dived in with both feet. You have made this possible for me. I have laughed and cried and made great friends. I am in my favourite location -- my home; it's comfortable and private. I am so happy to have helped so many with their hair removal needs and am hoping to serve and help for the next 15 years. Thank you again for making my dreams come true. Crews are tearing down the Memo- rial Arena this week. Originally built in 1922, Memorial Arena in Georgetown has served resi- dents of present and past with long- lasting memories. After much consid- eration by the users of Memorial Arena and a need to meet the ice needs of resi- dents in an economi- cal and functional way, the recommen- dation of the Georgetown Arenas Task Force to close Memorial was endorsed by Council in March of 2009. "I myself have enjoyed many games, recreational skates, and community events at Memorial Arena throughout the years," said Mayor Rick Bonnette. "I will always have strong memories and great stories of my time at Memo- rial." Hockey Heri- tage and the Hal- ton Hills Sport Museum have removed all im- portant artifacts from the arena, and are excited to pay special tribute to Memorial Arena through a dedicated space in the Museum. The tribute required the careful demolition of parts of the building so that it can be re-used for the Museum display.
