Halton iparent listings are geared to strengthening parent- ing knowledge and skills. The services, programs, workshops and seminars listed range from courses for expectant parents to discussion groups for parents of teens. Although the programs are primarily geared to helping par- ents, there are also some listings for programs that children and youth can attend. "Parents often struggle to find information about programs and other supports to help them, not only with challenging issues, but also with the questions that crop up every day. We're hoping that Halton iparent will make it easier and simpler for them to find and connect with the right programs and services," said Elena DiBat- tista, Our Kids Network director. "This is phase one of building Halton iparent into a meaningful service for families. We will be surveying users online to gather their opinions and comments. In March of 2014, we'll look at this feedback and make the changes that families have asked for to improve their Halton iparent ex- perience," says DiBattista.
