The committee will advise, lead and assist Council and the citizens of the Town of Halton Hills in improving quality of life by focusing on actions that enhance Halton Hi l ls ' cu l tura l v ibrancy, economic prosperity, environmental health and social well-being. applicant eliGiBility • Must be a resident of the Town of Halton Hills. • Not employed by the Corporation of the Town of Halton Hills. • Positions are for a term to expire in the Fall of 2018. tHe committee: The Susta inabi l i ty Implementat ion Committee will: • Help shape the future of Halton Hills. • Champion the implementation of the Community Sustainability Strategy. • Focus on quality of life through cultural v ib rancy, econom ic p rospe r i t y, environmental health and social well- being. • Enable and encourage action by community partners. • Help implement the Community Sustainability Investment Fund. • Identify and connect with community partners. • Assist with monitoring implementation progress. • Establish best-practice Task Groups. • Lead community outreach. • Hold regular monthly meetings. DivorceCare is helpful for any individu- als who find themselves separated, divorced or experiencing the end of a long-term rela- tionship. It is an internationally recognized Christ-centered support group. The group meets 7-9 p.m. weekly for 13 weeks. The material covered in each session is inde- pendent from the previous week, meaning that participants can join the program any Thursday night during the 13 weeks. The support group is led by people who under- stand what participants are going through and are there to help each participant dis- cover true healing.
