South, which is owned and oper- ated by Lorie and Chris Murden. The Murdens were nominated for the award by a loyal customer for their efforts to keep clients-- es- pecially those in rural areas-- with enough water to drink and flush their toilets during the ice storm in December. Without power for six days, Soft Water Plus remained open throughout the aftermath of the storm, with Chris making deliv- eries and resetting softeners while Lorie kept the store open "until I nearly froze." The two-day show, Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3, will be held at the Mold-Mas- ters SportsPlex and will show- case more than 100 local busi- nesses. The event is expected to attract in excess of 3,000 attendees. Vendors are booking now to reserve prime booth locations. Attractions such as draws, prizes, giveaways as well as home and health presenta- tions and demonstrations will be featured throughout the weekend.
