The third-seeded Raiders will host the sixth-ranked IceHawks tonight (Thursday) at the Alcott Arena at 7:30 p.m., with game two Friday in Milton, also at 7:30 p.m. Not since the Raiders last won the league championship in 2005 have Georgetown and Milton met in the post-season. The 29-21-3 IceHawks took the season series with the 31- 20-2 Raiders 3-1-0 and are coached by former Raider as- sistant bench boss Dan Currie. Both squads are backstopped by 16-year-old netminders, with Georgetown's Michael McNiven being named an OJHL First Team All-Prospect and Milton's Ben Blacker earning Second Team All-Prospect status. Game three of the series will be played Wednesday, March 5 at the Alcott Arena beginning at 8 p.m. An 8-2 dismantling of a strong Cobourg Cougars' squad at the Alcott Arena Saturday night completed an excellent run for Georgetown in the last month of the campaign, leap- frogging past Milton, St. Mi- chael's and North York to place third in the conference and earn home-ice advantage in the opening round of playoffs. Scoring for Georgetown Saturday were call-up Adam Mascherin (2), Gavin Shantz, Jordan Brown, Scott Emerson, Anthony Marra, Brendan Ja- come and John Adams. Raiders' centre Steve Hladin, who finished second in league scoring with 38 goals and 45 assists in 53 games this season, was named an OJHL First Team All-Star this week. Local resi- dent Alex D'Oliveira, a defence- man with Cobourg, earned Second Team All-Star honours after a 48-point campaign for the Cougars.
