Transported from another Shelter, I warn you that at first encounter my loud bark and need for freedom and exercise make me present "as alarming" to a non- experienced dog owner-- but I am still a puppy at heart at two years old. My commands and leash walking need some work, but I am eager to please so with gentle guidance working on them would be fun and I am very bright. I like other dogs but am not particularly keen on cats. I need an experienced owner to guide me to my potential with kindness and en- couragement making things fun for me again. I did get adopted but apartment life is not for me; I need space to run and spaces to roam in, regular exercise and a safely fenced yard. I love toys and people are impressed with how gentle and loving I am to them, but then they are all I have got. If your family visits, please take me outside, spend a lot of time with me, pet me, talk to me and you will see that I just need stability, it is lonely here and my young heart has only known rejections. Note: An adult family without small children would be best for Hunter as he is a powerful, strong dog physically and is best suited to grown ups. Call the Shelter 519-833-2287 or e-mail adoptions@uppercredit.com to give this boy a chance to blossom from lonely ca- nine to an incredible lifetime companion. Hunter takes things into his own paws By JUDITH-ANNE KOLU Upper Credit Humane Society volunteer Yesterday and Today have new homes and Tomorrow would like one too. Tomorrow and her brothers were trapped on Albert St in Georgetown after being tracked around the neigh- bourhood through back yards and under decks. Finally they were caught. Although older than kit- tens normally are for taming, the two boys because of their gentle personalities became tame quite easily and are happy in their new homes. As usual with females, they take longer to tame. Tomorrow is a petite five-month old beautiful black female with a soft medium length coat and deep yellow eyes. She has an expressive tail that curves every way imaginable, especially when she is happy. She was extremely scared when caught but is becoming more confident and affec- tionate with patient encouragement. She will approach people she knows and ask for pets, rolling around joyfully with the at- tention. She is a happy and gentle cat, she would not have made a good outdoor cat. Even when upset or scared she does not bite or scratch, she would pre- fer to run or bury her head than have a confrontation. Tomorrow would like a quieter household with experienced cat people who understand she needs time to adjust to a new home. She is so- cial with cats in her foster home and would be very lonely if she didn't have a friendly cat in her new home. Her wish would be for her friend Junou to be adopted with her. Two petite girls wouldn't take up much room! On Saturday, March 22, Junou and Isle will be available for adoption at Pet Valu, 369 Mountainview Rd. S. 1-3 p.m. By BARB JOHNSON North Halton Kitten Rescue volunteer Tomorrow seeks new home Temperance: This spayed, loving, gentle soul enjoys being gently caressed and groomed and longs for a lap to cuddle in. Surrendered (grandparents could no longer care for her); she is stressed but soldiering on. Temperance is 15-years-old, and is one of our oldest residents. A home where she is the only animal would be the best match for our sweet senior. NOTE: **A VERY SPECIAL arrangement will be made for Temperance, and she would be perfect for a senior who just wants to give and receive love from a gentle, senior, companion cat. For the month of March, all UCHS black, black & white and tuxedo cats have a special adoption fee of $100-- vet checked, spayed/neutered and ready to go home!
