For such a major move everything went very smoothly. Our main location is the boathouse in Pros- pect Park (head towards the large fish at the water park) and for larger events the Acton Legion. The phone number is the same 519-853-5951 but please note it is unable to take messages. The Spring Alia Fashion Show will be held at the Acton Legion on Wright Ave., on Tuesday, April 14 at 1:30 p.m. Come and see what the latest colours and styles are for spring and summer. We will be serving refreshments and you might be lucky and win a door prize. There are tickets available at the Boat- house or at the door that afternoon. The two exercise classes were held in the boathouse on Wednesday morn- ing and although there wasn't as much space, everyone seemed to enjoy them- selves. They are looking forward to the warmer weather when they can also walk in the park. The afternoon art class enjoyed the bright sunny location with a beautiful view of the lake and the two swans swimming on the small amount of open water. The Canasta players wel- comed back the snowbirds who had en- joyed extended holidays over the winter months. Elly Holtman and Betty Brew- er each had mooners on Thursday after- noon while playing Bid Euchre. The Gals on the Go are planning to visit St. Jacobs Market on Thursday May 8 followed by an early lunch at Crossroads. You will be able to choose either the buffet or order from the menu. We will be going to Grand River Raceway again this year for the races and buffet dinner on Monday, June 23. (Note: date change). Please sign up as soon as possible if you are interested in either trip so I can confirm numbers. Looking at all the snow it seems hard to think of golf, but the sign up sheet is up for the semi-annual Acton and Georgetown golf game at Blue Springs on Wednesday, May 21. If you are inter- ested please sign up. Acton Seniors Centre settles into temp home By JULIE CONROY Acton Seniors Centre
