Participate this weekend in the annual Halton Hills spring clean- up! Help us scour parks, ravines and roadsides to pick-up litter and assorted debris. • Participate with a group or gather your friends and make your own group! • Free gloves and garbage bags are available from the Robert C. Austin Operations Centre located at 11620 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown and also at participating McDonald's Halton Hills restaurants. • Gloves and bags have been provided through the generosity of Superior Glove, Tim Hortons and McDonald's. Join us in celebrating Earth Day with the following activities: • Residents can purchase trees for just $5. Due to the ice storm extra trees are available to purchase. Tree varieties include: White Spruce, Eastern White Pine, Alternate-Leaved Dogwood, Red Maple, White Birch, Red Oak, and Common Choke Cherry will be available (limit of 4 trees per person until 10:00 a.m.) • Pick-up free compost and wood chips. Please bring your own shovel. • Drop-off household hazardous waste and electronic waste. • Public Work's equipment and vehicles will be on display, along with interactive and fun activities for children with prizes. • Delicious breakfast and barbecue lunch.
