Brampton Batman is a late-night fixture on the streets of our neighbour- ing city to the east and while he leaves crimefighting to the proper authori- ties, the Dark Knight enjoys spreading goodwill amongst citizens and having his picture taken with them. Extendicare resident program man- ager Carmella Di Pietro said the mys- terious Brampton Batman responded to tweets and texts requesting his pres- ence and he graciously accepted the invitation to visit Georgetown. The questionnaire deadline was May 23, and the received responses are now online at www.hal- ton.ca/ontarioelection2014. Questions asked were based on Hal- ton Region's advocacy plan-- Advocat- ing for a Strong Halton. This plan was developed to highlight and provide in- formation to Halton residents and the provincial and federal governments regarding some of the challenges and critical issues related to Halton's fu- ture. Issues such as infrastructure, costs associated with growth, housing, public health and provincial cost shar- ing agreements are all issues that have been identified by residents as impor- tant to them and their families. "This questionnaire is an important tool in understanding the candidates' positions on the issues that are impor- tant to Halton residents," commented Regional Chair Gary Carr.
