C A COMMENT Green development standards are here While building on the Town's award-winning Green Development Evaluation Checklist, in April, Coun- cil approved a new set of Green De- velopment Standards. These stan- dards put in place a practical and highly flexible set of criteria that are anticipated to maximize devel- opment's many positive attributes while minimizing its potentially neg- ative impacts. The standards apply town-wide and took effect on June 2. When appropriately managed, development can result in thriving complete communities and higher quality of life, helping to implement our Community Sus- tainability Strategy.
