For four years Eden Mills has welcomed the winners of the previous year's Sapporo International Jazz Fes- tival competition as an energizing fanfare for summer. This year the Yoshihiro Murakawa Quartet will not only perform 7:30 p.m. at the Eden Mills Community Hall on Friday, June 27, but also at the Acton Town Hall Centre, 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 28. These concerts are fundraisers for the Eden Mills Community Hall and Acton Town Hall Centre. Tickets at the Ac- ton Library or at the door, $25 adults, $10 students. Nassagaweya's impresario John Cripton is one of the judges every year at the Sapporo Competition. He says, "The Quartet came first out of 153 participating ensem- bles. These artists represent the very promising future of jazz in Japan."
