Taylor Kroezen and Logan Stamp were recently named as Acton High School's senior athletes of the year for 2014-15. Kroezen was a multi-sport star for the Bearcats, suiting up for the volleyball, soccer, basketball and softball teams during her four years at the school. The French immersion student will attend York University's Glendon College next year in the in- ternational studies program. Stamp became the first Acton student to ever win an OFSAA snowboarding gold medal after taking top spot in the alpine competition held at the Mansfield Ski Club. He is headed for the University of Waterloo in September to take physical science. Chante Burnett and Leah Holms shared the junior girls' athlete of the year award, with Jake Va- lasamis and Dan Rhynold earning junior boys' athlete of the year honours. The Georgetown Rebels held their annual athletic banquet last week to celebrate the achievements of students from the past year.
