The approximate limits of the project area are illustrated on the map. The Process The project team received input from interested stakeholders, the public and agencies at an Open House, two Public Information Centres, three Community Working Group meetings, and numerous agency and stakeholder meetings. The team evaluated road improvement alternatives, assessed the potential environmental effects of the proposed improvements and developed reasonable means to mitigate any adverse impacts. Key Elements of the Recommended Design The study recommends: • A rural cross-section with paved shoulders and ditches for parts of Bush Street and Olde Base Line Road • A semi-rural cross section with paved shoulders, mountable curbs and underground storm sewers for the remainder of the study area • Parking and a sidewalk through parts of Belfountain Village • Modest profile adjustments to improve sightlines Environmental Study Report An Environmental Study Report (ESR) has been prepared to document the planning and decision making process undertaken for this study. The results of the study will be available for review for 30 calendar days starting June 30, 2014 and ending July 29, 2014. Love Mom and Dad Andrew Pundsack Bob Facca of London, Ont. passed through Norval, George- town and Acton last week with an escort by the Halton Hills Fire Department and reached the 1,000-km mark in Grandpa Bob's 4,000-km Walk for Louie. Holding the ribbon as he passed the one-quarter mark of his walk were former George- town residents Deanna and John Sykes (pictured above). Fac- ca began his journey on May 12 in Quebec City and plans to reach the finish line for the walk in Winnipeg in December, while raising research funds for his six-year-old grandson Louie and all other young boys afflicted with the so-far-incurable Duchenne muscular dystrophy. He has been covering 20 kms per day and has nearly reached the halfway point in fundrais- ing the eventual goal of $1 million. Photo by Eamonn Maher Grandpa Bob walks for Louie
