Photo by Eamonn Maher Hospital unveils new diagnostic imaging department The third and final phase of the $14.2-million construction/renova- tion project at the Georgetown Hos- pital was completed last week as the new diagnostic imaging department was unveiled for staff members and the first patient will be accepted to- day (Thursday). The new department is located where the entrance to the emergen- cy room used to be and Georgetown Hospital Chief Operating Officer Cin- dy McDonell joked that it hasn't been uncommon to find staff members lost within the changed configuration of the floor plan. Diagnostic Imaging Medical Direc- tor Dr. Tim Durrant also noted that patients will no longer have to walk through the "bowels" of the hospital to receive a diagnostic scan and will enjoy more privacy. Bands rock McGibbon Hotel Friday The band ForePlay will rock The Mc- Gibbon Hotel on Friday and Escape is on the bill on Saturday from 9:30 p.m. to close.
