But it's not winter now-- so it's time to celebrate on Sunday, Aug. 10 with a spe- cial drum circle in Willow Park Ecology Centre in Norval. Led by Sheila Black, the drum circle starts at 2 p.m. with an added special djembe session just for fun and en- tertainment after the circle has finished. Bring your drums and your percussion instruments if you can, as you celebrate the environment as the original natives did long ago. WPEC is building an Ojibwe Medicine Wheel under the direction of Ojibwe elder Anthony Templer with the assistance of WPEC Youth Volunteers and the CVC's Conservation Youth Corps, so while you are in the park, come bless the new wheel. Supplies for the "Drum-Making for Kids" programs are urgently needed. If you have any large tin cans or coffee cans for the drum bases, please contact Caro- lyn at carolyn@willowparkecology.ca.
